Gift Aid your donation

Gift Aid is tax relief on money that’s donated to charities.

The government set up the scheme to help charities like us maximise their income.

For every £1 you and your colleagues donate on Jeans for Genes Day, we will receive an extra 25p at no cost to you!

You and your colleagues won’t be signing your life away or agreeing to anything other than allowing us to claim the tax back on that individual donation.

For every pound you donate, HM Revenue and Customs will add 25p in total.

If every Jeans for Genes supporter claimed Gift Aid in 2010, we would have raised an extra £250,000.

If you are UK taxpayers and you made the donations out of your own money (rather than a company account) then we can claim Gift Aid.

Use your personalised online form

Log in to your user account via our website and you'll find a tailor made form.  You can email the link to colleagues and get them to fill in their details.  we can then claim Gift Aid on their donation.

It saves you going from desk to desk to ask people to fill in a paper form.

If you prefer to use pen and paper, please ask everyone to fill in the form that's in your fundraising pack.

For those of your colleagues who are not eligible or who don’t want to add Gift Aid to their donations, add up their donations, enter the total on a separate line and don't tick the Gift Aid box.

We can then claim Gift Aid on the remaining donations where the details have been completed.

We won’t use anyone’s personal details and they won't be passed on to a third party.
